KAMPALA CITYS SKYLINE AS SEEN FROM KOLOLO AIRSTRIP PHOTO BY Richard Wetaya
By Richard Wetaya
Kampala city's skyline undoubtedly keeps changing for the better year in,
year out.
In terms of cleanliness, nevertheless, Kampala still remains a rough and tumble bear garden.
Good thing however is that there is a high flier of a lady at the helm of Kampala city council authority.
This go getter of a lady goes by the name of Jennifer Musisi, a purposeful lady who, to all intents and purposes, seems bent on improving Kampala.
On the face of it, she has given a good account of herself.
Kampala has by and large improved a lot. Much still needs to be done but she deserves her meed of praise.
There has been a backlash of sorts after the authority she heads starting evicting people who had illicitly settled on land, meant to be a railway reserve.
She has not backed down even in the face of threats and pleas by Politicians and civil society people.
Moral of the story-We need a better Kampala city.
